1. A Snapshot of the New Family
Besides head-turning good looks, our three PowerBook G4 computers share many family resemblances. Thin and light, they offer a high-performance solution for people on the go and with built-in support for FireWire, USB, Ethernet, AirPort, Bluetooth, and S-video output, they make it easy to communicate, transfer files, and give presentations.
They offer capacious hard drives, sport dazzling displays with support for millions of colors, feature long battery life, and ship with Mac OS X v10.2 "Jaguar," iLife, and a wide assortment of other applications, including QuickBooks New User Edition from Intuit.
Visit our Tech Specs page to get the skinny on all three models and figure out which one is best for you.

2. A Star Is Reborn
iMovie 3--the newest version of our Academy Award-winning video editing application*--arrives with a starring role in the iLife suite of multimedia applications.
Integrating seamlessly with iTunes 3, iPhoto 2, and iDVD 3, iMovie 3 not only makes it easier to create movies with your own music, photos, and video but offer a refined interface and dazzling new features, including the Ken Burns pan & zoom effect, stunning sound effects from Skywalker Sound, and one-click DVD project creation--complete with chapter markers.
iMovie 3 will be available for download on our website soon. Or you can visit the Apple Store or an Apple reseller, order your copy of iLife, and receive all of the iLife applications for just $49.
http://www.apple.com/imovie/
* For the best iMovie 3 experience, run Software Update and install the most recent version of Mac OS X and QuickTime 6. (Mac OS X v10.2.2 and QuickTime 6.1 recommended.)
3. One Click. Better Photos.
We've all taken less-than-perfect photos, but now the application that made it easier to import, organize, print, and share your digital photographs makes it just as easy to enhance and archive them.
One-button easy, in fact.
In iPhoto 2, a click on the Enhance button lets you turn under- or overexposed photos into keepers. Better photos in seconds. Want to get the red out? One click on the Red Eye button will do the trick. And just by hitting the Burn button, you can archive hundreds of photographs onto a CD or thousands on a DVD.*
iPhoto 2-- which also offers an astounding new Retouch brush, seamless integration with the other iLife applications, and even more new features--will be available on our website soon as a free download and can be ordered today from the Apple Store as part of iLife.

* To burn photos to a CD or DVD, run Software Update and install Mac OS X v10.2.2 or later. Burning photos to a DVD in iDVD requires a Mac with a SuperDrive or other DVD-burning drive.
4. You Could Make Hollywood Jealous
Thanks to incredibly seamless integration among the iLife applications, iDVD 3 lets you easily create Hollywood-quality DVDs featuring your own music, movies, and slideshows.
Start by choosing one of the 24 new professionally-designed themes. Then try the new tool button strip. It offers one-button access to iTunes 3, iPhoto 2, and iMovie 3, making it easy to import the content you want to share on your DVD.
Click the Photos button, choose an Album, and, poof, instant slideshow. Click Audio to add a soundtrack to your slideshows or movies. And--have you heard?--chapter markers you create in iMovie 3 transform magically into chapters when you import your iMovie projects into iDVD 3.*
Best news of all: you can get iDVD 3 for just $49--and iMovie 3, iPhoto 2, and iTunes 3, as well--when you order iLife from the Apple Store or an Apple reseller.

* iDVD 3 requires a Mac with a SuperDrive.
5. Tips for Ten: Bringing Home Lost Sheep
Scott Kelby must have a million tips (or pretty close) in "Mac OS X Killer Tips." Here's another you'll find helpful:
"Okay, so you see the application's (or document's) icon in the Dock, but you have no earthly idea where the app (or doc) really resides on your hard drive. It's there somewhere, but you just don't know where, and that scares you. To find where the application or document in the Dock really lives, just click on its icon in the Dock and choose "Show in Finder" from the menu that pops up. The window where it's stored will immediately appear on screen."
You can enjoy more killer tips by getting your own copy of Scott Kelby's Mac OS X Killer Tips from the Apple Store:

6. Safari Tip: Block Those Ads
Show of hands. How many of you absolutely hate those annoying ads that pop up on your screen when you're surfing the web? Visit enough sites, and the ads can outnumber your browser window ten to one.
Wouldn't it be great if you could just banish them completely from your online existence?
Here's how easy it is to eliminate pop-up ad with Safari: Pull down the Safari menu and choose Block Pop-Up Windows. (Or just type Command-K.)
It may be a beta version, but Safari--the turbo browser for Mac OS X--already outperforms the older web browsers on the block. Visit the Safari site and find out how.

7. Technically Speaking: Mac OS X Keyboard Shortcuts
You may know that Command-W tells Mac OS X v10.2 "Jaguar" to close the active window. That you can create a new folder by typing Shift-Command-N. Or that Option-Command-D lets you, alternately, hide or show the Dock.
But did you know that you can use other keyboard shortcuts to start up in FireWire Target Disk mode, collapse or expand folders in List view, create aliases, open your Home folder, take a picture of the screen, and many other useful actions?
You can. In fact, Mac OS X v10.2 includes these and other keyboard shortcuts that can improve your productivity. You'll find a list of them in the Knowledge Base article "Mac OS X: Keyboard Shortcuts."
Whether you want to make your own beautiful music or generate true digital surround stereo from your Mac, Macworld Expo delivered a bevy of audio goodies you can read all about in the "Macworld SF Audio Report":
