<<Did any of you catch the new Apple ad during Toy Story last night? Good one. I didn't even realize that it was an Apple ad until the end when the logo come up. It was about being different and changing the world.>>
I liked the ad, although I still think Apple needs to be harder-hitting than they seem to be in this ad. Still, I'm a firm believer at almost ANY advertising is better than none. Apple, as one of the largest computer makers really MUST advertise on TV. I see Gateway 2K, Compaq, Dell, and IBM ads all the time. There is a reason those companies have all risen above Apple in systems sales: they advertise, so people go to the store looking for a computer (being completely clueless about what they actually need) and ask for an IBM machine.
If Apple modified the ad by simply adding a 2-3 second image of a lineup of their computers and a blurb like "Apple: personal computer systems that allow you to be your best" or something like that. At least something that lets people know Apple still sells computers.
