I am so sorry, NewGuy, when I examined the situation more closely in Opera 9.24 I see that in fact the fonts are not zoomed like the pictures. It was only fonts that were pictures to start with that have the trouble. Sorry about this, NewGuy, really!
What Opera is doing is a mixed blessing...
(It is not about the screen resolution you quote, but your point about "staying sharp" is good - even at 1000% enlargement, real html fonts remain sharp as in other good browsers.)
