I have a new Time Capsule and am very pleased with it but have a few questions I hope someone can help me with -
1. At present, I have 3 pieces of equipment hooked wirelessly into the Time Capsule router - a MacBook Pro, Powerbook G4 and my Nokia N80 which I use as a VOIP phone. In Airport Utility (the latest version), it correctly indicates that there are three Wireless Clients connected. If I disconnect the Nokia from the network, the number updates within a few seconds to indicate that there are now two wireless clients (the two laptops). However, if I disconnect the PowerBook, it fails to indicate this in AirPort Utility and it appears that the PowerBook is still connected to the Network. This happens even if I "Turn Airport Off", put the computer to sleep or turn the computer off. Is there some way of fixing this issue. I am running Airport Utility on the MacBook Pro. I think it has something to do with DHCP Clients and probably Leases.
2. The Network is secured using a WEP 128bit ASCII password. Every time I turn the PowerBook on, I need to enter the password. Is there someway I can change this so that it remembers the password all the time? This problem does not exist on the MacBook Pro.
3. In a related matter, when I try to log to the network from the PowerBook, I go to the Airport (radar) indicator in the Menu Bar. The name of the Network appears there. However, when I select it, it only gives me the options of logging onto a WAP secured network. The drop down menu doesn't have any other security options in it in it. Why is this? I need to go to "Join another network", select the name of the network, type of security and type the password in order to join my network. Relating to question two, there is no tick box here allowing me to "Remember this network".
Thanks in advance for any help people can give me.
