1. Introducing the world's fastest personal computer
The Power Mac G5.
No easy matter, hurtling past the performance capabilities of the fastest single-processor Pentium 4 computers and dual-processor Xeon workstations. But that's exactly what the Power Mac G5 does: outperforms Pentium 4- and Xeon-based systems not only in industry-standard SPEC CPU 2000 benchmark tests but also in performance tests using the real-life applications you use every day.*
The Power Mac G5 achieves this extreme level of performance through the marriage of the world's first 64-bit processor--the revolutionary PowerPC G5, built in collaboration with IBM--and a new ultrahigh-bandwidth system architecture that we discuss extensively on our website:
http://www.apple.com/powermac/performance/
Built for speed, the new models include single-processor systems (featuring PowerPC G5 processors running at 1.6GHz and 1.8GHz, respectively) and dual-processor systems featuring dual PowerPC G5 processors running at 2GHz and an industry-leading 1GHz frontside bus. Capable of supporting up to 8GB of memory, the new systems start at just $1999, will be available in August, and can be ordered from the Apple Store immediately.

2. You don't have the time to wait.
Whether you're compositing in Shake 3, editing HD in Final Cut Pro 4, manipulating multi-layered Photoshop images, or visualizing huge data sets in Mathematica, you have work you need to accomplish. And you need to finish it as soon as you possibly can.
Which is exactly what the PowerPC G5, the world's most advanced processor, helps you do.
Unlike the 32-bit processors it easily outperforms, the 64-bit PowerPC G5 addresses up to 8GB of physical memory. Twice what 32-bit processors can address. As a result, Power Mac G5 systems don't have to swap data back and forth from disk. Instead, the new systems can read entire documents and applications into memory at once, where they can execute up to 40 times faster. That's not all. The PowerPC G5 also features an industry-leading frontside bus that speeds data to and from the processor at up to 16 GBps.
What other ingredients put the power in the PowerPC G5?

3. iChat AV. Video conferencing for the rest of us.
Wouldn't it be great if you could speak--face to face--with clients, colleagues, friends, or family wherever you and your Mac happen to be?
Now you can. Thanks to iChat AV.
Not just for text-based chatting anymore, the exciting new public beta version of iChat lets you enjoy full-screen personal video conferencing using your Mac and a broadband connection. We're talking crystal-clear audio and stunning full-color video you can use to study with friends (across campus or continents), give sales presentations to clients, attend staff meetings while on the road, take advantage of distance-learning programs, and touch base with parents and siblings.
Although you'll need a broadband connection for video conferencing, with iChat AV you can audio conference with anyone on your buddy list and enjoy crystal clear two-way audio armed with just a microphone and a 56K modem connection. And you won't incur any long-distance charges.
Ready to talk? Download iChat AV Public Beta today.

4. iSight. The eyes and ears of iChat AV.
What weighs just 2.3 ounces, can sit right on top of your display, includes a built-in microphone, and works seamlessly with iChat AV?
That would be iSight, our new state-of-the-art video camera. The perfect companion to iChat AV, iSight makes video conferencing over the Internet a snap. Or should we say a "twist"?
After you connect iSight to your Mac with the included FireWire cable, all you have to do is twist the lens cap. iChat AV launches automatically and, within seconds, you'll be video chatting with someone on your buddy list. In glorious full-screen color.
Available immediately from the Apple Store for just $149, iSight comes with three stands, a carrying case (so you can take it with you wherever you go), and a FireWire cable and cable adapter.
Like to spend some face time with iSight?

5. Download Safari 1.0
It's been so compatible, so stable, and so fast that you may have stopped thinking of Safari, the turbo browser for Mac OS X, as beta software. But beta it was.
Until now. On Monday, we released Safari 1.0. The default Mac OS X browser, Safari provides increased standards compatibility, is available in all Mac OS X languages, and offers an exciting new Auto-Tab feature.
Say you enjoy visiting a series of pages on the Apple website every day. Bookmark each of them, place the bookmarks in a folder called AppleSites, add the folder to the Bookmarks Bar, open the Bookmarks Library, and click the checkbox to enable "Auto-Tab" for AppleSites. Next time you want to pay Apple a visit, a single click will open each of the bookmarks in AppleSites in its own tab.
Download Safari 1.0 and try the new AutoTab feature today.

7. Wait less. Code More.
Write software for the Mac? Then you probably spend a fair amount of time listening to iTunes. Because you probably spend a fair amount of time waiting for your software-in-progress to compile.
So how would you like to develop applications in an environment that's as easy to interact with as iTunes? An environment with an optimized compiler that lets you do less waiting and more coding. An environment where you can make changes to the application you're developing while it's running--instead of forcing you to go back to square one each time you squash a bug. One that takes advantage of Rendezvous, letting you distribute the compiler load over a series of desktop systems or, better yet, a dedicated Xserve build farm.
We call it Xcode.

Here and more powerful than ever. It's CE Software's QuicKeys X2. New shortcuts for storing and retrieving collections of images and text, pop-up menu selection, recording and playback, a redesigned interface and new multi-step shortcut tools make QuicKeys X2 the best, most powerful macro utility for Mac OS X.
