Guys,
Have any of you out there installed this?
I went ahead and took the plunge because I continued to have occasional line drops using OT 1.1 and FreePPP 2.5v2 (not very often, but usually at a VERY annoying time). Anyway....
This combo is actually pretty nice. The interface is pretty good. Not quite as nice as FreePPP 2.5, but still pretty good. One thing I miss from FreePPP 2.5 is the data throughput meter it includes. That's a REALLY nice thing to have at times. The other problem I have with it is that the connection script doesn't work with my connection. I cannot for the life of me figure out how the connection script syntax goes (it might as well be C++ code for all I know), so I have to input my username and password manually, which is somewhat of a pain. If I could get the connection scripts figured out, it has some nice applescripting features for connecting, etc. I believe it should be fairly easy to tell your computer to log in automatically.

Also, I've heard that if you are having lotsa problems with your current FreePPP setup, this combo really does the trick. I think it's dropped on me once already...but then again, I've been messing around with a ton of beta software and Netscape stuff lately.... Let me know if you like it.

If only cyberdog had better applescripting support....maybe I could do this (perhaps I already can?)...Tell my computer to startup at 5:00 am, connect to PPP account (this was easy with FreePPP, because its connection scripts worked pretty well), tell cyberdog to check my e-mail and connect to a few key WWW pages I always check (macintouch, MacWeek, Macsurfer), and have it all waiting for me when I get up a little while later.
