I've been keeping an eye on my Internet connection, which as you all know I complain about frequently. From the web I get very slow download speeds, and what is most frustrating, it seems that downloads of web pages in particular only come in short bursts with many long seconds between bursts. Anyone else experience this? Is this to be expected? Now that I may be close to upgrading my machine, I'm beginning to wonder if it will do any good. Would I be better off spending my $$ on a fast connection like ISDN? 'Coz I'd hate to upgrade my processor, only to find that there's nothing coming through to process.
Maybe I need to visit Bob and see how those 6100s are doing with ISDN before I make any more changes.
