<<What's the best combination of Open Transport and PPP for getting on the Internet? I'm using OT 1.1.2 with Free PPP 2.5v2, and I have trouble getting back on after I hang up. I have to restart in order to get connected; otherwise i get a system freeze (usually after opening the web browser). Is this an OT thing, a PPP thing, a MS Explorer thing, or one of those "cosmic ray" crashes?>>

I've been using FreePPP 2.6b4 with Open Transport 1.1.2 and I don't get crashes. With Mac OS 7.6 and WDEF leapord, my system rarely crashes. Despite being a beta version, FreePPP 2.6 seems more stable than the release versions.

I don't use MS Internet Explorer. MSIE is still slower at loading web pages on my computer. The cache scheme for IE is better than Netscape, but I'd rather have the page download faster than load faster from disk.
