IRCLE is a program like Netscape, only it is used to connect to IRC (internet relay chat) servers instead of to download web pages from HTTP servers. Other people all over the world use similar clients and you can talk to them in real time by typing (similar to the chat areas here and on SilverNET).

The difference is that there are usually thousands and thousands of people on all at once, and there are "channels" where different groups of people can go to talk about certain interests. There's a really good channel called #Macintosh (the standard Mac gathering place) where you can go and find out if there is another area for close combat, etc. Also, it's a good place to go to ask questions if you have any. The answers are immediate, so it's really cool. I can demonstrate at the next VMUGM meeting if you remind me.

BTW, I TOLD you that RAM would be the best thing you could add to your computer! For some applications, adding more ram speeds things up more than adding a faster processor.
