This special offer is from:
Al Morale <mailto:almorale@almorale.com>
Forget those New Year's resolutions about improving yourself. You're already great! Just ask Al Morale, who will sing your praises for a special low price during this New Year's Special.
Who is Al Morale? He's a desktop employee and virtual brown-noser.
Cooltool.com says "Al is the perfect cubicle-mate." Chezmark calls him "the best boot-licking, butt-kissing, ego-boosting, yes-man you'll ever have," and the MacAddict December CD-ROM says, "He is the co-worker you've always dream of."
The Al Morale 2.0 CD-ROM gives you a cartoon co-worker with 100 lines of funny flattery and comic kudos. Plus, add new lines from Al's web site.
Celebrate 1999 by hiring Al to be your personal ego support staff for just $14.95. (That's more than 20 percent off Al's regular salary.) But act soon, before Al realizes he could pull down six figures at most Fortune 100 companies.
Details and demo at <http://www.almorale.com/special.html>.
Happy 1999!

This job offer is from:
Jon Gardner <mailto:jgardner@kairosnet.com>
I have just accepted the position of Computer System Manager with the Texas A&M Department of Food Services, and one of my first assignments will be to sit on the interview committee for an assistant. Mac-savvy, of course. The salary for this position isn't much--$31k, with some flexibility (not up to me...that's the Director's prerogative)--but the benefits are very good, as is the working environment.
With 1100 employees, Food Services is the second largest department on campus, and their network is comprised of Macintosh desktops and a UNIX (IBM AIX) server. My group will be officed in the basement of Sbisa dining hall, the largest food service facility in the nation. Since I'm brand new to the job, I don't know much more than that about the department. I can say that the Bryan/College Station area is one of the most desirable places to live in the U.S.--Small town atmosphere with large town conveniences.
To apply for this position, you must go through Texas A&M University Human Resources. Do not email me directly, because the interviewing committee can only interview applicants referred to them by Human Resources.
For instructions etc., visit the Texas A&M University Dept. of Human Resources website:

Date: Tue, 29 Dec 1998 02:05:19 -0800 From: The EvangeList Mailing List <evangelist@apple.com> Subject: PR - Kinetic Creations Releases Kineticon 1.5
Kinetic Creations, Inc. today announces the release of version 1.5 of Kineticon, its popular, Macintosh, desktop icon-animating system extension.
What's new in Kineticon version 1.5?
* Better compatibility with pre-8.5 Mac systems. * Better compatibility with 68K Mac systems. * A new Photoshop plug-in which facilitates the creation of 32-bit kines is now bundled.
Kineticon is a system extension that replaces user-selected icons on the Macintosh desktop with icon animations. Wherever the MacOS would normally draw a regular, static icon, Kineticon will, if desired, replace it with an icon animation.
Included with the Kineticon package is "Kineticon Editor". Kineticon Editor allows the user to create their own animated icons, or kines, for use with Kineticon. The editor is also handy for making icons from pictures or picture clippings with drag and drop support between itself and the Finder. This feature includes support for creating OS 8.5's new 32-bit icons.
Kineticon 1.5 includes 25 kines (animated icons) with many, many more available for download from the Kinetic Creations web site.
The price for a single-user Kineticon license is $15 US. The fully-working, trial version (which is converted to the full, non-trial version after purchase) is available for free download from the Kinetic Creations web site and most major Macintosh ftp sites. Version 1.5 is a free upgrade to registered users of any earlier version.
System Requirements: Any Apple Macintosh or other computer running MacOS System 7.5 or later, color monitor.
Kineticon 1.5 is $15 US (free to registered users of any previous version). Download links for the fully-working, trial version (which is converted to the full, non-trial version after purchase) are available at: <http://www.KineticCreations.com/kineticon/download.html>

This request is from:
"Dana R. Baggett" <mailto:drbonbi@javanet.com>
My son has a sole proprietor auto repair business (specializing in Jaguars). He is aware of auto repair shop PC software that facilitates keeping track of customers and their specific cars and interests, billing, inventory, etc. He already runs a PC mechanics repair time guide using Virtual PC on his Mac. But, before he buys PC auto repair shop software, he would like to know if there is some Mac software available. He is aware of Quicken for Business but the PC software he has seen is specifically tailored for the auto repair business.
I'll be glad to have suggestions sent to me at <mailto:drbonbi@javanet.com> and I'll report back whatever I find out. Many thanks.

I don't know if any EvangeListas out there follow the "Luann" comic strip, but Luann's mom has been dying for a new computer from Santa. It's been all she's talked about for the last week or two. When she finally opened that big box under the tree, she says, "Just what I wanted!" while staring excitedly at her new iMac. Gotta love it! __________________________ Digital Guy Sez:
A lot of strips seem to sneak Macs into them. Makes sense...we are talking about ARTISTS, here. :)

This request is from:
<mailto:ccarter@teleport.com (Carl Carter)>
A lady at work asked me, in the lunchroom, whether she should buy a PC or an iMac or some other Mac. Present were 5 other people, 3 of whom are PC users. I explained that Macs were easier to use and the iMac was designed to be very easy to use. I went on to explain that it was much easier to install peripherals and software than on a PC. She asked how so, so I explained my latest PC fiasco. I was installing a game and it overwrote DirectX 6 and several drivers. My sound went and the monitor got very wierd. I had to find the correct drivers on another CD and install them so I could reconfigure and get everything running correctly, and I never got the game to run: time, over three hours.
She said "No!" and one PC user said "yes" the second said "all the time" and the third said he wished he had a Mac!
We may have a sale here - or several!
