Disabling Call Waiting


Call waiting can be disabled as follows:

  1. Wait for dial tone, then dial *70.
  2. Wait for confirmation (dial tone that goes bee-bee-beeeeeeeee).
  3. Dial your number.

The above procedure disables call waiting ONLY for the call you are making at
that time. Put it in your autodialer for the program you use. (With a Hayes
modem, that would be ATDT*70,,xxx-xxxx.)

If calling out on a "rotary" line (i.e. non-touchtone), use 1170 in place
of *70.

This only works for some telephone exchanges.
