How to pair your Microvision Flic or ROV bluetooth scanner

We’ve made it really easy to pair your Microvision Bluetooth Scanner with Delicious Library 2. For the most part, if it’s paired with your computer, and you launch Delicious Library 2, it will automatically work.

To set up you Microvision Scanner:

1. Make sure you have strong batteries in your scanner — weak batteries cause all kinds of crazy problems.

2. Press the button on your scanner to wake it up — this will make your scanner discoverable.

3. Click on the Bluetooth icon in System Preferences, and you should see a device called “Cordless”. If you don’t see that device, make sure you have “Discoverable” checked and the scanner is awake, or browse Devices until you see “Cordless”. This is your scanner.

4. Set the passkey. If you have a Microvision Flic, the passkey is “0000”, if you have a Microvision ROV, under Passkey Options, select Do not use a passkey with this device.

In Delicious Library 2, from the Library menu, select Wireless Barcode Scanner. If it was previously selected, deselect it, then select it again.

Note: In the original Delicious Library there was a little bluetooth button at the bottom of the application when the scanner was paired. We’ve removed this button from Version 2, but the scanner will still work in the same way.
