I developed my PC skills to improve my performance in Marketing. I am computer literate and a Mac expert, but also use other computer platforms. I have taught classes for local user groups, and held leadership roles (past President of two different user groups). A publicly traded $175 million dollar International import/export distributing company specializing in gift ware, craft, home decor and floral products.
Publications Manager - 1993 to Present
- Provided the leadership necessary to develop personnel, programs, and publications during heavy growth period.
- Responsible for content of all print materials, including sale sheets, catalogs, brochures, planograms, and newsletters in both printed and digital form.
- Developed 3 corporate web sites including our own internal Web Server, Mail Server and Intranet.
- Converted to Desktop Color Catalog Publishing. We now use digital photography and store all of our 18,000+ images on a server. Some of our catalogs were 1/2 the cost of the previous year.
- Developed Closeout Publications - Biannual low cost promotional materials.
- Developed Product Showcase order insert program. Our most cost effective advertising. Low cost black & white materials are inserted in each order.
- Promotions and Price Maintenance - authorize and produce materials for all promotions.
- Developed Sales & Product News Program - consolidated and improved our communications with sales now available online via our Intranet.
- Automated FAX promotions - we now fax sales and promotional materials to customer groups via a low cost system.
- Developed catalog and promotional tracking systems to insure performance increases.

Marketing Manager - Feb. 1986 to 1993
- Provided the leadership necessary to develop our marketing strategies. Hired, trained and created new departments necessary to maintain our heavy growth.
- Developed Planogram Systems - took our manual systems and automated them. Moved photography from outside our department to internal to speed up production. Line drawings and materials are all computer generated.
- Developed Showroom Merchandising - designed and helped build and fixture our first showroom. My department subsequently open 4 showrooms beginning with Charlotte NC, then Atlanta, Dallas, and Los Angeles.
- Trade Show Merchandising - reviewed past performance and made changes to improve our sales. Developed sign and promotions programs for trade shows. By introducing promotional assortments we improved our sales per line, substantially increasing our performance.
- Promotions Systems - developed promotion including our digitally produced color sales packets and signing programs.
- Developed Sales & Product News Program - consolidated and improved our communications with sales.
