Beat this! Last night on a current affairs program filmed in Sydney (the home of Bondi as in Blue) I spotted about 20 iMacs in one shot! The story was about our best and brightest Indigenous university students, and a fitting backdrop for an interview with a soon-to-graduate medical student was: a double bank of iMacs!

Review: Food Chain
By Kirk Hiner <http://www.applelinks.com/reviews/foodchain.shtml >
"Food Chain" is the first title released by Cajun Games, and it's an impressive start. A somewhat bizarre cross between chess and othello, "Food Chain" nails the two main requirements of games of this size, it's easy to learn and addictive to play.

I am a Mac convert (from the MS hegemony), and I REALLY want to continue using Macs when I go to Oklahoma University next year....unfortunately, they ONLY support Windows on campus. They've been fighting me every step of the way, even when there is no reason why I should not use a Mac! I can't say I'm really surprised. Here comes the kicker: All Engineering students MUST have a laptop, and this laptop MUST be connected to the wireless LAN that OU uses. After much kicking and screaming I've got these specs on the LAN:
It uses a Proxim (www.proxim.com) PCMCIA card, using OpenAir communications in the 2.6Ghz frequency range. Proxim does not make MAC drivers for its cards.
Does anyone know a solution? If I can't find one, I'll be forced to buy a PC laptop. This is especially a tradgedy considering just how sexy those new G3 laptops are.
Thanks for any help.

I was pleasently surprised to see the latest issue of Auburn Magazine (from my Alma Mater Auburn University in Alabama) with a cover devoted to one of my fellow alums, Tim Cook, who is intimately involved with the iMac!
"...As Apple Computer's senior vice president of worldwide operations, he's the guy who makes sure the computers get made, get to market, and get into the hands of buyers as fast as possible..."
The article goes on to describe Apple's comeback, the brilliance of the iMac, and an all-around very positive and optimistic view of Apple.
AS far as I've been able to find out, there is no web-available reprint of the article, but you might be able to get a reprint by emailing the Alumni Association at <mailto:AUBMAG@Alumni.Auburn.edu>
How's that for bragging rights? My College made iMacs available to the world! (In a round-about way)
