Activates keyboard "Power On" key
Now you can turn on your Macintosh and up to three peripherals with the "Power On" key on your ADB keyboard. Selecting "Shut Down" from the Finder's Special menu turns the entire system off.
Programmable with an on/off schedule
With the included Control Panel, PowerKey can be programmed to turn your system on and off or to execute keyboard macros at preset times, for applications such as unattended backups.
Protects your entire system
PowerKey protects your system against power line surges, spikes, noise and overload. Zero crossing switching minimizes interactions between equipment and saves wear and tear on switches.
Easy to install
First plug your computer and peripherals into PowerKey's outlets and plug PowerKey into an AC outlet. Next, insert the cable connector head into your computer ADB port, attach the long cable to the PowerKey and the short end to your keyboard cable. Turn on your computer, insert the PowerKey disk and double-click on the installer. It's that easy.
PowerKey programmable software
PowerKey's sophisticated scheduling software allows you to automatically turn your computer on or off or to initiate unattended operations at preset times. The software supports System 7 features such as Balloon Help, Apple Event and 32-bit addressing. The Control Panel preferences can be set to automaticaly mount any SCSI devices that were missed at startup.
If you want more information on how PowerKey works, you can download the user's manual in PDF format.
